Creative Therapies NYC is a licensed and board-certified psychotherapeutic private practice located in Park Slope Brooklyn. We provide person-centered treatment of anxiety and depression symptoms as well as many social challenges and behavioral disorders associated with our rapidly changing times.
Jon Ehinger LCAT, ATR-BC is the owner and primary practitioner at Creative Therapies. His clinical experience spans decades using art and talk therapy to help children and creative adults through life transition. Jon's research has been published in several clinical journals and expressive psychology book publications. Jon continues to make contributions in the field interviewing his colleagues hosting the podcast Art Works In Therapy.
Suzanne Garrison LCAT, BC-DMT has been working with Creative Therapies since 2017, bringing her movement-based psychotherapy specialization to our adult clientele. Authentic Movement often begins from a simple physical sensation, a memory, an image, a feeling, that combines reflective processing to promote a deepening of the therapy. "My son really enjoys his therapy sessions with Jon and looks forward to going. Jon is great with making my child feel comfortable with expressing what is on his mind in a safe, trusting environment. The new office is spacious, warm and inviting."
" Jon helped my son express himself more clearly, pinpoint what he needs, and navigate his feelings. Jon's always open to talk to me one-on-one, and would periodically pull either me or my husband into sessions for check-ins. I highly recommend him."
